    NAPLES, Fla., Aug. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ) announced today that it has appointed Louis R. Franzese as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective September 8, 2014. Mr. Franzese succeeds LeighAnne Baker, who left Hertz earlier this year to become Chief Human Resources Officer at Cargill, Inc.

    Mr. Franzese joined Hertz in 1999 as Senior Staff Counsel specializing in Labor Relations. Between 2005 and 2012 he was the Company’s senior labor lawyer and spokesperson, having been promoted to Vice President, Labor Relations and HR Practices in 2005. In 2012, Mr. Franzese was promoted to Senior Vice President with responsibility for the Company’s Human Resources function in the Americas.

Once the vehicle is certified, a card signed by the representative preparing it for rental is placed on the vehicle’s steering column to reassure the customer it has been certified clean and safe.
