Fans waiting in The Queue will be able to try out these tips in a tennis serve target game designed by Hertz. Fans simply enter the Hertz tennis gallery situated near the queue to practice their ace, kick and slice serves, taking aim at Wimbledon and Hertz themed targets. The best servers who hit the targets are in with a chance of winning tickets for the men’s final next year.

Neil Cunningham, General Manager, Hertz UK, added: "It’s a blast engaging with fans through our experiential activity in The Queue, where they can try out our Winning Service Tips for tennis, courtesy of Hertz Gold Plus Rewards. Hertz’s official fleet transportation during the tournament includes 150 Ford Galaxy and 15 Ford SMax vehicles, as well as two long wheel base vans and 2 executive coaches for VIP transportation.

Wimbledon fans do not need to be at the tournament to be in with a shot of being at the finals next year, as Hertz is also giving one lucky winner the chance to net the pair of tickets by simply tweeting a Wimbledon-inspired picture with the #winningservice. Whether fans are in Wimbledon fancy dress, posing with a summery refreshing drink, or juggling tennis balls, they can simply share their photo with the hashtag and enter the competition.

Additionally, Hertz’s Gold Plus Rewards scheme and its benefits will be highlighted on the 24 buses shuttling people between the station and the Club.

Hertz also continues to work closely with various partners to offer their customers a chance to win tickets to the championship and other special offers. Globally, Hertz is working to provide customers and communities with sustainable mobility solutions, such as zero emissions and alternative fuel vehicles as well as car sharing as part of its sustainability program Living Journey (www.HertzLivingJourney.com).

Hertz’s collaboration with Zem2All and the City of Malaga aims to deliver sustainable real-world solutions by providing electric vehicle (EV) access to local residents and tourists alike.

Michel Taride, Group President, Hertz International, said: "As a leader in the car rental industry, Hertz is well positioned to help customers and cities to gain first-hand experience with electric vehicles. We strongly believe that investing in innovative and convenient solutions that reduce the environmental impacts of travel is an important step towards sustainable transport on a global scale. In partnership with Zem2All, we will be working to create a compelling electric drive transport model that can be easily exported to other cities."

Zem2All was created to transform mobility in cities, implement widespread use of electric vehicles and gain the knowledge required to deploy large-scale EV’s schemes in cities. Through this project, 160 electric vehicles and recharging points have already been rolled out in Malaga with another 40 coming soon.

According to studies by Zem2All, transport, specifically cars and trucks, generates 43% of global carbon emissions. Electric mobility can help to reduce significantly driving emissions given that its footprint is non-existent. Additionally, EVs’ efficiency doubles the featured by the current internal combustion engines.

The Nissan Leaf model, part of Hertz Green Collection, has been chosen for the Zem2All program due to its convenience and performance. Thanks to its electric motor, driving 100 miles costs about two euros. Drivers who choose this sustainable mobility option have one of the most extensive fast recharge networks in Europe, with 23 charging points at nine sites in Malaga, Fuengirola and Marbella.

This Hispanic-Japanese project is led by the Spanish electricity and gas company Endesa in partnership with Telefónica and Ayesa. The Japanese side of the project is conducted by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, in partnership with Mitsubishi Corporation and Hitachi.

Hertz’s sustainability strategy Living Journey focuses on sustainable transport initiatives as well as on reducing the environmental impacts of the company’s buildings and operations. A number of strategic initiatives have materialized so far, including solar energy production, energy efficiency upgrades, recycling at rental locations and use of waterless car washing.

Hertz Announces New Chief Executive Officer For Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation – Brian P. MacDonald Succeeds Lois I. Boyd, Who is Retiring June 30, 2014 – MacDonald Joins Hertz on June 2, 2014 and Brings Proven Record and Extensive Experience in Strategic Planning, Financial and Operational Management, and Business Development Across Geographies

NAPLES, Fla., June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — The Hertz Corporation (NYSE: HTZ), today announced that Brian P. MacDonald, formerly Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunoco, Inc., has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC). As part of his responsibilities, MacDonald will lead HERC’s transition into a new, publicly traded company following its planned separation from Hertz, which is expected to close by early 2015. Mr. MacDonald succeeds Lois I. Boyd, who has been with Hertz since 2007. Ms. Boyd has previously informed the company of her decision to retire her full time position after a 41-year career although she has agreed to continue with HERC in an advisory capacity.

"Brian MacDonald brings exceptional, executive-level experience in successfully leading major corporations through periods of significant growth and change," said Mark P. Frissora, Hertz Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "This record, combined with his financial acumen as well as his operational and international expertise, make him the ideal successor to lead HERC through its next phase of growth and development as a stand-alone, publicly traded company."

MacDonald said: "I am delighted to join Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation at this exciting time in the company’s 49-year history. HERC benefits from one of the youngest and most balanced fleets in the industry, a diverse product portfolio, operational efficiencies, and a broad geographic footprint. I look forward to working with HERC’s management and talented employees to build on these strengths and further bolster the company’s premier position in the equipment rental industry."

Frissora continued: "Throughout her seven year career with Hertz, Lois Boyd has demonstrated strong leadership and an enduring commitment to our company and mission. Under her stewardship since 2011, HERC has delivered three consecutive years of revenue and earnings growth, and margin improvements. She had an equally strong record leading Advantage Rent-a-Car, a value brand previously owned by Hertz, and our companywide cost management programs, which have generated over $3 billion of savings since 2007. Lois approached me several months ago about her intention to retire. I am grateful she agreed to help us make significant progress on the separation of HERC and RAC, and to assist with Brian MacDonald’s transition. We appreciate all that Lois has done for Hertz and wish her the very best in her well-earned retirement."
